Clare boat club is the largest society within Clare, with well over 100 active members from all across the college. Our main focus is making rowing inclusive and available to all, especially beginners. We regularly have one of the biggest novice squads on the river.
We have had some great success at the top end of the squad, with the men currently 2nd on the river and the women 7th in May bumps. But it’s not all about training, we have loads of socials and dinners which will be the highlight of your year.
With so many people taking part, we have a range of crews to suit everyone, so if you’ve rowed before and want to train every day, or if you’ve never seen an oar before and want to paddle in the sun once a week, come down and giving rowing a try. There really is a place for everyone in Clare Boat Club.
If you’ve rowed before, get in touch with Jon for the men’s squad, or Edith for the women’s squad. If you’ve never rowed before, come to our freshers BBQ on 11th Oct, 12-4pm to give it a go, or contact Freddie, Ada or Anna.
